Ballantine’s 17 Year Whisky

With a heritage that dates back to 1827, Ballantines is one of the most known and loved Scotch Whisky brands in the world.

It started with George Ballantine in a small grocery store in Edinburgh. Here he would supply a range of whiskies to his customers. his developed into a larger establishment in Edinburgh, where along with his son George Junior they began to create their own blends.

As the name would suggest, Ballantine’s 17 Year whisky is a blend of whiskies, each of which is at least 17 years old. This long maturation gives an extra depth of flavour and character to the blend, and is one of the reasons that this is the world’s first and most awarded 17 Year Old blended Scotch.

This clear golden whisky has a smooth vanilla and oak nose, with a smoky sensation to it. On the pallete this is vibrant, full and complex. Honeyed sweetness, a creamy vanilla flavour and hints of oak and spicy liquorice all blend perfectly. The texture is velvety and brings a fresh fruitiness. It finishes long, exceptionally smooth with a gentle blend of both sweetness and spice.

Perfect Serve
